Event Policies
General
All special events are held within the Yankee Rebel Tavern restaurant. Lace partitions will separate your small group parties from other restaurant patrons. We offer beautifully prepared plated dinners for up to 140 people and have a full service bar with an extensive wine list. We provide linen and cake cutting services, if requested. Your menu selection and final guest count must be made no less than 14 days prior to your event. A children’s menu is also available. Our Special Functions Coordinator will assist you with your selection.
Setup Fee
The Yankee Rebel Tavern charges a setup fee for all events with 20 or more people. Deposit: A $200.00 deposit is required to guarantee your event and must be received with your signed contract. You may cancel anytime prior to 90 days before the event to receive a full refund. For your convenience, we accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, or cash. Your deposit will be applied toward your final bill.
Payment
The Yankee Rebel Tavern requires final payment no later than the day of your event by cash or credit card. No personal checks accepted. Guarantees: We require a guarantee of the final count of guests at least 14 days prior to the event. If the Yankee Rebel Tavern receives no guarantee, we will consider the number of guests on the contract to be your guarantee. You will be charged for the actual number served or the guarantee, whichever is greater. Your deposit will be applied to the final bill.
Cancellation
You may cancel 90 days or more before your event to receive a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations after this date are non-refundable. Liquor/Food: In accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, the Yankee Rebel Tavern is the only authorized licensee to sell, serve, or furnish liquor, beer, wine, or food on the premises. This excludes wedding cakes only. No beverage of any kind is permitted to be brought onto the Yankee Rebel Tavern premises. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
Limited Liability
The Yankee Rebel Tavern is not responsible for any equipment or materials left unattended in any area of the restaurant. Damages to the premises will be charged accordingly.
Service Charge
The Yankee Rebel Tavern has a 20% added charge for food, beverages, and most services offered. Michigan 6% sales tax applies to all food and beverages and most services offered.
